Scope

Atlas installed 8,100 linear feet of large-diameter sewer pipe as part of Huntington’s Long-Term Control Plan (LTCP).

The project involved deep excavation up to 35 feet in town, the construction of a 90-inch tunnel liner plate under an active railroad, the handling of contaminated soil, and groundwater treatment.

Unique Challenges

Working through a residential area required precision and constant communication with the city officials, engineers, and local homeowners. Rock removal was a major challenge — we tested several methods and closely monitored production using our rock grinder attachments.

Despite the depth, contaminated soils, and tight urban environment, our team kept the project moving safely and efficiently.
